Got my new Dell PC yesterday (Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, bunch 'o disk and some other stuff). That was neat, once I removed all the fucking Dell asshattery off the machine (clean reinstall, kthx). But... today... I got my 30" Dell monitor. Thirty freaking inches of monitor. If I wasn't feeling sick as shit I'd probably be jumping up and down. THis thing is amazing. It's bright, clear, colorful. THere isn't a miscolored patch anywhere on the thing. It runs at 2560x1600, or "higher than normal HD resolution." In short: beautiful.

Now if I can get over this fucking cold and actually enjoy the thing, it'll be great. :)

y'know, i would've thought you were way too elitist to *buy* a prebuilt computer, especially a dell.

I was too lazy not to. Not to mention I end up with substantially better warranty coverage from Dell, and I can call and bitch at someone if/when the system breaks down.

With all the heat and evil generated inside PCs today by whiz-bang gfx cards and stuff, I'm kinda glad somebody else is responsible for assembly. :)
